Memorable moments

I got together with a couple of guys and we did things a little unique than the others, as in, we didn't get drunk over the weekend or go to parties or even hit the nightclub scene. Atlanta street, which was right next to the University. Instead, we go out, eat from a unique cultural restaurant. Very different a restaurant from a very different cultural background. And then after that, we would head down to this jazz swing bar in this five star hotel

How I got into swing jazz.. what’s your memorable moment you would like to share?

My first trip to Fenway Park

And it got me to think about the first time I actually went to Fenway Park, and I was seven or eight years old and been begging my parents to go to a Red Sox game. And finally there was one night just kind of happened out of the blue where a neighbor, two neighbors were taking their boys down to the game, and they asked if my brother and I wanted to come along, and I think I was in the car before he finished other sentence

🎆🎆🎆 #pittsburgh

When I was little, I would only find out later in life once I started asking more questions. But after my great grandparents immigrated here from Ireland and Germany, no one ever left. Really, until my brother and I became adults. Everyone just stayed in Pittsburgh, and my grandparents grew up and lived in the city and lived there forever until it started to become more expensive and they moved out. And so there were never really any stories of other places in the world. My world felt

The London walk

And she had a daughter of a friend of hers who at that time was studying at the London School of Economics. She had her take me out over the weekend. So on a Friday evening, this girl, she picked me up from my aunt's place and took me around town. We spent all of Saturday walking all over London, taking the tube and just walking London, seeing the sites. And I spent the weekend in her dorm room

And it was so surreal for me to just be there soaking it all in. And it was a wonderful moment. And part two of that is again, just like you. Me and my family visited London a few years ago, and I think we purposely chose to live right next to Trafalgar Square and pretty much discovered London almost completely by tube and football. And it was just awesome. Loved it. Thanks for jogging my memory

#London, #Ireland

I want to bring up a memory that I have is when my husband and I for our first anniversary, we went to Ireland in Dublin, and we walked through the streets of Dublin. And then there was a pub right next door to our hotel. And now pubs in Ireland, it's a totally different affair. It's not like a bar in the United States. A pub in Ireland is like a dress up. They're like couches. It's really nice

The Baked Potato in LA

But back to the Jazz, with a 50 person capacity, it is one of the most wholesome, close, tight knit settings you could want for jazz. And it's something that I think really lends itself to the intimacy of the music and just the soulfulness behind the music. If you're ever in the Los Angeles area, once this whole COVID thing is over, I highly recommend checking it out. I've really seen some fantastic musicians there
