Bob Gibson 1935 - 2020 The Greatest

article image placeholderBob-Gibson-MLB-Twitter-image.jpg
He pitched World Series games that have not been duplicated since he was one of the most clutch pitchers of all time. He has the strikeouts. He was the first ballot hall of Famer. And what I think is most impressive is he was so dominant in 1968 and 1969 that they changed the rules of the game because of him. Now you really are an impactful athlete when they say this is an unfair advantage, and they actually lowered the mound by a third because he was so dominant

I once met a gentleman by the name of Carl Kee. He pitched the Dodgers, and he played alongside Jackie Robinson. And he said, Jackie Robinson was an arrogant a******. But he had to be. I said, I bet he did. Dude, that was tough. Not easy. It'd be very tough. But you know what? He could back it up on the field. And he was a h*** of a guy off the field
