These astronauts spent 62 days on the International Space Station and were launched from Cape Canaveral on SpaceX Falcon Nine using SpaceX's Falcon Nine rocket and the vessel they're flying in is called the Crew Dragon, and it is scheduled to enter the Earth's atmosphere in about 3 hours and it's going to be amazing. Watch the Splashdown live. I'm going to post a link to that in this enjoy

So I wanted to quickly give a little bit more details on the schedule of what to expect today at around 10:15 a.m. Pacific Standard Time is when the crew Dragon spacecraft will jettison its trunk portion and then while start it's deorbiting burn, which will essentially set it on a trajectory to reenter the Earth's atmosphere. They expect Splashdown to be at around 11:48 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. So if you want to know when to tune in, there are times

I've always been a great believer in the future of humanity being beyond this planet, continuing on this planet, but getting out into the solar system, into the Cosmos, us beyond we'll never understand fully who we are and our place in the universe if we consider everything just from the vantage point of being down here on Earth. So today SpaceX splashdown is a great momentous achievement indeed. And I'm looking forward to much more in the months and years ahead
