This makes me sad. I think it's one of those times where I'm totally feeling so ashamed. As an American citizen

While here we are, we still have no idea what we are going to do about this and how long this is going to last again. I don't want to sound like a partisan hack here, but it is abundantly clear that our leadership executive leadership has not only failed us with COVID, but has purposely gone out of the way to fail us. It is sad

And I feel like something that they're getting at in this conversation is about the fact that we all are interdependent and our culture has been moving more and more towards this idea that we need to do it alone, and something that they end up talking a lot about is the fact that we can't and we do need each other. And I think that's really powerful, and they talk about it more in relation to other contexts as well
